I met Leslie Grant in New York. Our lives seemed to be copies of one another. Yet on opposite sides of the ocean. Just like me she was a photographer, taught at an art school, lived together with her boyfriend and had two cats. Even the interior of her house looked like mine. I decided to photograph her. And myself. Where portraits usually confirm our individuality these now started to question it.
